Transition to High School

A dedicated Prep Course for incoming Year 7 students introduces key routines, study habits, and expectations so they feel ready before high school begins. In Years 7 and 8, this support continues through orientation experiences, structured check-ins, and teachers who take the time to know each learner, helping students quickly gain confidence in navigating life at Alpha Omega and understanding what it means to be part of the community.

Personal Development

At Alpha Omega, (PD) sits at the heart of school life, not just on the timetable. Through weekly talks, short courses, projects, activities and study sessions, the program shapes students’ mindset, character and life skills. PD builds a strong sense of community, encourages hard work and effective study habits, and helps students communicate, lead, manage technology wisely and think beyond themselves—preparing them for both academic success and life beyond school.

Year Adviser

Each year group at Alpha Omega is supported by a dedicated Year Advisor, giving students a consistent point of guidance and care throughout their journey. Year Advisors monitor student progress and work closely with families and teachers to support both wellbeing and learning. They run fortnightly sessions that focus on practical skills such as study habits, organisation, teamwork, communication, goal setting and managing challenges, so students always have someone they can turn to for advice, encouragement and support.
